“The Griffin” J. E. Dufour & Cie, E. Wirth Succrs, Geneve, No. 16141. Made circa 1890. Very fine, 18K gold and diamond-set keyless lady’s pendant watch with an 18K gold and diamond-set brooch. Four-body, chased and engraved griffin with a diamond in his jaws flanked by acanthus leaves. Hinged gold cuvette. Brooch with finely chased chimera with a diamond in his claw. White enamel with painted radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals. Gold “spade” hands.
