“Musical Trio” Wm. Story, London, No. 5755. Made circa 1760. Fine, 18K gold and enamel pocket watch. Two-body, engraved with an overall geometric pattern, the bezel decorated with Royal blue “champlevé” enamel leaves and flowers, the back decorated with a scene of a musical trio beneath trees overlaid with Royal blue enamel. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute markers and Arabic five minute numerals, winding aperture at 4 o’clock. Gold “navette” hands. 37 mm., gilt, hinged, full plate, turned pillars, fusée and chain, lateral lever escapement, three-arm steel balance, pierced foliate balance cock, silver regulation disc. Movement signed. Diam. 46 mm.
