Fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, stainless steel bezel with tachometer and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with deployant clasp. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, engraved “Asprey”, screwed-down buttons and crown, "Triplock" winding crown protected by the crown guard, tachometer graduation on the steel bezel to 200 units per hour. Bi-colored silver and black with applied steel faceted and luminous dots indexes, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30- minute registers. Luminous steel "baton" hands. Cal. 727, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37.5 mm. Thickness 14 mm. Notes Ref. 6265/6263 The present lot bears two reference numbers: 6265 between the lugs, which refers to the specific characteristics of this watch, and 6263 in the case back. References 6265 and 6263 are identical with the exception of the bezel. The case bodies and backs were interchangeable at the factory.
