Very fine, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel and platinum gentleman's wristwatch with date and Rolex stainless steel “Fliplock” Oyster bracelet. Accompanied by a fitted box and certificate. Three-body, polished, screwed-down case back and crown, “triplock” winding-crown protected by the “crownguard”, bi-directional revolving frosted graduated platinum bezel for calculation of diving times, sapphire crystal with “cyclops” lens. Platinum with luminous white gold round, baton and triangular indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, date aperture. Luminous white gold “skeleton” hands. Cal. 3135, rhodium-plated, fausses côtes” decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 42 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Notes Ref. 16622 was launched in 1992 and was intended to embody all that made the Rolex Oyster a success. In 1999 Rolex launched the new Oyster Perpetual Date “Yacht Master” Rolesium in stainless steel and platinum. The case and Oysterlock bracelet of that watch are in stainless steel, the rotating bezel and the dial are in platinum. The model is available in three versions: ladies, mid-sized and gentleman’s.
