“Pearls & Emeralds” Bautte & Moynier à Genève, No. 39832. Made circa 1830 for the Chinese market. Very fine and rare, 18K gold, pearl and emerald-set pocket watch with pearl-set dial. Two-body, sprung and hinged bezel set with 31 emeralds, each surrounded by a border of seed pearls, the back with border of 31 emeralds to match the bezel, the center set entirely with pearls and seven emeralds, pendant and bow decorated to match. Matte and engine-turned gold with radial Roman numerals set with seed pearls. Gold “Breguet” hands. 31 mm. (13 1/2’’’), gilt brass three-quarter plate, spring barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance recessed within the movement, flat balance spring, index regulator. Case marked BM. Diam. 43 mm.
