Fine and very rare, gilt brass, 8-day going, desk clock with triple date calendar, moon phases and alarm. Accompanied by a 8” x 10” black and white photo taken at the presentation and a Letter of Provenance. Round, swivel-mounted on a heavy gilt brass base, setting levers for the calendar and moon phase on the back, base engraved: Casey Stengel Award – N.Y. BBWAA – Joe DiMaggio. d. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, three subsidiary ring dials for the date, days of the week and the months, aperture for the moon phases. Brass arrow hands. 24’’’, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, index regulator.
