Pivoted Detent Pocket Chronometer J. Russel & Fils, Swiss, "Chronometre," No. 23324. Made circa 1870. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement. To be sold without reserve Four-body, "bassine et filets," engine-turned with polished borders, spring-loaded front cover with small central engraved monogram. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. White enamel with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold spade hands.
