Very fine and rare, gilt brass and champleve enamel, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm and one-minute tourbillon regulator. Accompanied by a fitted box and key. Gilt brass, "anglaise riche", corinthian columns, inlaid throughout with champleve enamel, glazed sides and back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic fiveminute numerals, alarm setting dial below, champleve enamel dial mask. Blued steel Breguet hands. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, going barrels for the going and striking trains, 11 jewels, straight-line lever escapement mounted on a polished gilt one-minute tourbillon carriage, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, shock absorber, index regulator, matte gilt bridge. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Dim. 15.3 x 10 x 9.1 cm. excluding handle. Property of a French Collector Notes Carriage clocks with tourbillon regulators are very rare, L’Epee made this model in a limited series and it is particularly attractive, presented in a champleve enamel decorated case.
