Courtin – Lit d’Amour Courtin à Paris, No. 113. Made circa 1820. Fine, gilt-metal and painted on enamel pocket watch with erotic scene and calendar. Three-body, bassine et filets, polished bezels, reeded band, the back decorated with a painted on enamel scene of a couple enjoying the pleasures of their boudoir, varicolored paillon border. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic 15-minute numerals, outermost red calendar numerals. Gilt hands with pierced tips. Matte gilt, full plate, hexagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock, polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial.
