Verneaux – Dumb Quarter- Repeating Watch Verneaux a Paris, No. 1267. Made circa 1760. Fine, Louis XV, 18K gold and enamel, quarterrepeating à toc pocket watch with a gilt-metal chatelaine and gold coin fob. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large Arabic five minute numerals. Gilt Louis XV hands. 32 mm., gilt full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on blocks in the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 39 mm.
