Gübelin Pink Marble And Enamel Desk Clock Gübelin, Lucerne, No. 22648. Made circa 1925. Fine and rare, gilt brass, blue enamel, pink marble mantel clock. Shield-shaped, gilt brass, disc with central black enamel band, molded marble base, gilt brass feet. Painted on enamel (attributed to Richay) representing three wise men against a starry night background, painted white Roman numerals. Gilt hands. 15 jewels, lever escapement, rear winding and hand setting. Dim. 23.5 x 12.5 x 9 cm. Notes For a note on a similar clock, please see the previous clock (Lot 478). The fact that another clock featuring a similar dial is only two case numbers away from this one shows how few of these clocks were made.
