SUNBURST DIAL TRIPLE CALENDAR Swiss. No.1712. Made circa 1900. Fine and unusual, gilt metal and enamel keyless triple calendar pocket watch with moonphases and green enamel dial. Four-body, reverse with black enamel foliate decoration to a central blank shield, outer and bezel with similar relief pattern, polished band, inset calendar adjuster pins, hinged cuvette. Pale green enamel with sunburst effect to Roman numerals within white enamel chapters, outer gilt dots, apertures for the date, month and day, lunar display with scene of the moon over a bridge with people and a boat, apertures for the moon and under bridge, revolving stained disc displaying the lunar cycle. Frosted gilt, bar caliber, jeweled, straight-line lever escapement with compensation, cut and compensated bi-metallic balance, blued steel overcoil hairspring, index regulator.
