JAEGER-LECOULTRE EMPIRE STYLE CLOCK Jaeger-LeCoultre, Genève, No. 496. Made circa 1970. Fine and rare, gilt brass and yellow marble Empire-style 8-day going mantel clock. To be sold without reserve Brushed gilt brass accents, the case main portion yellow marble, the bezel beaded and with Grecian geometric pattern, the lower section with two brass Griffi n drinking from a fountain. Brushed brass with radial black Roman numerals. Black spade hands. 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed. Height 19 cm., width 14 cm., depth 6 cm.
