Pendule Portative Swiss. Made circa 1820. Fine and rare, small, gilt-brass 30-hour going, pendule d’officier-type traveling clock with alarm. To be sold without reserve Drum-form, gilt brass, fluted body, bezel decorated with formal leaf decoration, back door pierced with a stylized flower sound fret, octagonal base, hinged handle. White enamel, convex, Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel pierced hands. 58 mm., circular, gilt-brass, going barrel, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, index regulator with engraved scale on the backplate, alarm with separate train sounding with a hammer on a bell on the interior of the back door. Dim. 12.2 x 7 x 5.5 cm.
