Three-body, Empire-style, bezel set with split-pearls, reeded band, the back cover decorated with a fine royal blue enamel ground over engine-turning, decorated with gold paillons in a snowflake design, split-pearl-set border. White lacquer with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, gold decoration. Gold cathedrale hands. Cal. 6497, 16’’’, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating flat balance spring, shock absorber. Case signed Numa Watch. Diam. 43 mm. Notes This watch is an homage to the watches made in Switzerland for export to China in the first half of the 19th century.
