Patek Philippe, Unique Watch with Enamel Miniatures on both sides “Chasse a Courr e, le Debucher et le Bien Aller” by Madame Bischoff. Unique and exceptional, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased keyless dress watch, both covers with polychrome painted on enamel miniatures of hunting scenes after Carle Vernet signed M. Bischoff. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe box, original Certificate of Origin, Gubelin sales receipt and information from Patek Philippe detailing the commission of the enamels. Three-body, bassine, the band and bezels engraved with laurel leaves, the front cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene “chasse a courre”, the back cover with “le débucher et le bien aller” both by M. Bischoff. Notes Mme. Bischoff Along with Suzanne Rohr and L. Pellarin-LeRoy, Madame Bischoff was one of the very few enamellists capable of producing such exquisite work for Patek Philippe. Her scrupulous attention to detail and long experience of the technique of painting on enamel could perhaps be said to have reached its zenith in the creation of the present watch. Carle Vernet (1758-1835) Antoine Charles Horace Vernet (known as Carle), was a French painter, the son of Claude Vernet. He excelled in the painting of hunting scenes and the depiction of horses.
