Swiss Quarter-Repeating Pocket Watch Swiss, No. 2375. Made circa 1890. Fine, quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased keyless pocket watch. Four-body, bassine, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gilt Louis XV hands. 45 mm., matte gilt, 22 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Diam. 54 mm.
