STRAIGHT-LINE LEVER ESCAPEMENT WORKING MODEL WITH HELICAL BALANCE SPRING Designed in Germany, “Demonstrative Escapement – Helical Hairspring”, No. 135. Made in the 20th century. Fine, working model of a straight-line lever escapement with helical balance spring, mahogany base and glass shade. Polished mahogany base with winder, gilt toupie feet, glass shade. Circular gilt plated base plate with fausses cotes decoration, going barrel housed in the base, straight-line lever with jewelled pallets, monometallic balance wheel with gilt temperature adjustment screws, blued steel helical balance spring, foliate engraved bridges secured by blued steel screws. Dim. 21 x 15 cm. In very good condition.
