Very fine and rare, unusual, oversized 18K yellow gold gentleman’s wristwatch with an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives and a fitted box. C. three-body, solid, polished, stepped bezel, triangular lugs. D. matte silver with applied yellow gold baton indexes, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold dauphine hands. M. Cal. 12’’’-400, rhodium-plated, “fausses-côtes” decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 9 mm. Notes Reference 2510 by Patek Philippe is an extremely elusive reference. Sizing in at an impressive 36 mm which for an early 1950’s watch is rather large, its presence is further enhanced by the triple stepped case that makes it even wider in size. Extremely rare, further research indicates that we have ever only offered two other examples of this reference with their respective case numbers being within 10 numbers of each other indicating an extremely small production run.
