SWISS ENAMELED TURKISH MARKET WATCH GOLD AND ENAMEL Genève, No. 10700. Made for the Turkish market, circa 1830. Very fine and rare, 18K gold and painted enamel pocket watch. Accompanied by a fitted wooden box. Three-body, the hinged back decorated with a fine painted on enamel flower trophy with a flaming torch and quiver on a pink ground, outer light blue, white and green champleve enamel border with engraved gold foliate scrolls, the bezel, pendant and bow decorated to match. Fixed gold cuvette with apertures for winding and hand-setting. White enamel with Turkish numerals, outer minute track. Gold Breguet hands. 31 mm, matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock, silvered regulation dial. Dial and cuvette signed. DIAM. 37 mm.
