Ray & Montague, London, No. 1888 made for the Islamic Market, with the London hallmarks for 1818.Fine 18K gold and enamel pair cased quarter repeating watch. Outer double body, glazed, with scalloped edge, the bezels with champlevé enamel decoration. Inner double body, bassine, the bezel with champlevé enamelled decoration, the band pierced and engraved with anamelled flowers and foliage. White enamel with Turkish numerals. Gold hands. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock with diamond end-stone. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 43 mm.
