Alexis Favre, Genève, No. 1762, Etabli expressément pour Paul Ledoux, made in 1891.Very fine, 18K gold, keyless pocket lever chronometer, awarded the first prize at the contest organised at the Observatory of Geneva in 1891. Four body , massive, "bassine", polished, the back with the champlevé red and blue flinqué enamelled monogram P.L. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the awarded prize. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds on chapter "III" and symmetrical circular cartouche for the signature. Blued steel "spade" hands. In 1882, he and another participant were tied for first place. In 1883, he obtained the first prize for a chronometer presented by Patek Philippe.
