Jacques Vully à Genève, No. 1833, made for the Islamic Market, circa 1830.Fine and unusual 18K gold and enamel watch with eccentric dial and visible central balance. Three-body, “forme quatre baguettes”, engine-turned. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. Small eccentric white enamel with Turkish numerals. Blued steel “spade” hands. Azure champlevé enamelled dial plate with starry decoration, the centre balance aperture flanked by gold engraved sun and moon. Inverted 20’’’, gilt brass, four jewels, free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, four-arm rose-cut diamond-set balance, flat balance spring.Signed on the cuvette.Diam. 53 mm.
