Joyce, London, circa 1720. Fine silver watch with painted on enamel cock and mock pendulum. Both two-body, "bassine", polished. Silver, champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic markers on polished oval cartouches, center chased with a shield. Blued steel "beetle and poker" hands. 43 mm, gilt full-plate with Egyptian pillars with silver top, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain steel balance with flat balance spring, double-footed cock with finely painted on enamel portrait of a lady with a bird, gold heart-shaped mock pendulum protruding over the enamel, nice silver pierced and engraved escape wheel guard.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 49 mm
