Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set, double-train, center-seconds hour- and quarter-striking clock watch, made for the Chinese market. Double-body with split pearl-set bezels, the band and the pendant with champlevé and paillon decoration, the hinged spring-loaded back enamel panel painted with a charming pastoral scene depicting the young couple Palemon and Lavinia within a blue flinqué enamel frame with paillon decoration. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minutes and seconds ring. Gold pierced hands. Gilt brass full plate double-train with cylindrical pillars, going train with fixed barrel, cylinder escapement with brass escape wheel, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance-spring, gilt brass continental cock pierced and engraved with initials. Quarter-striking train with fixed barrel and revolving arbor, striking on a bell.Signed on the movement.Diam. 52 mm.
