Ulises Bühler, Valparaiso - Santiago, Swiss made, circa 1880. Fine and unusual 18K gold, center-seconds, keyless, astronomical moon phase pocket chronometer with perpetual calendar, special caliber and special balance-spring. Four-body, massive, "bassine", engine-turned. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals, red outer Arabic minutes and seconds ring, sunk subsidiary dials for days of the week, dates and months with inner indication of the leap-year cycle, moon phase aperture with its age on the border. Blued steel "fleur de lis" hands. Notes The watch employs an unusual ebauche not only with a rarely-found bridge layout but also with an off-center regulator with its own scale bridge.This watch is published in the Ruscitti book, as no. 63.
