Jacobus Haset, Keÿserwert, probably Hungary, circa 1730. Fine and rare horizontal hour striking double fusee table clock. quare, on four small feet, windowed side panels for viewing the movement within silver applied frames chased and engraved with wild strawberries, molded base and top, hinged bottom with aperture for bell. Solid silver with radial Roman numerals, half-hour markers, center engraved with a village scene, brass bezel. Pierced brass hands. Square, 92 x 92 mm., brass octagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain for both trains, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, blued steel balance sping, single-footed cock, count wheel striking.Signed on the movement.Dim. 115 x 115 mm. Notes Hungarian clocks and watches are rare, despite the fact that Hungary had a well developed horological tradition.
