Bordier, Geneva, No. 52806, circa 1790. Fine 18K varicolored gold and painted on enamel pearl-set pair-cased watch with silver cock. Outer: two-body, "Louis XVI", back painted on enamel with two muses, champlevé enamel laurel leaf frame, bezel decorated with repeated pattern; inner: two-body, bassine with deep back, polished. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic markers. Diamond-set "Louis XV" hands. 38 mm., gilt brass full plate with pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental silver cock pierced and engraved with the letters "FB".Signed on dial and movement and cock.Diam. 38 mm.
