Rectangular with glazed all side panels and top, molded base, edges decorated with scrolling engraving, back with hinged door, hinged, corrugated handle. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Blued steel “spade” hands. Rectangular, 45 x 33 mm, going barrel, platformwith lateral counterpoised lever escapement, with later monometallic balance and flat self-compensatingbalance spring.Signed on the dial and the box.Dim. 76 x 50 mm. Notes A rare instance of a carriage clock from the second-half of the 19th century that can be dated with precision.n.
