Pearl Serpent. Geneva, circa 1810. Fine and unusual 18K gold and enamel pearl-set pendant watch. Two-body, back decorated with a coiled serpent of graduated half pearls against a black enamel ground, the eyes made of coral, the center with a pearl-set flower rosette, pearl-set bezels. Gold, white enamel champlevé Breguet numerals, engine-turned center with small blue enamel rosette. Blued steel Breguet hands. 22 mm., hinged, frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock.Diam. 30 mm.
