Exceptional and very rare 18K gold, enamel and mother-of-pearl Neo-Gothic paperweight with scent compartment, set with graduated pearls, rubies, turquoises and emeralds. Notes The two missing cartouches on either side, perhaps bearing the family crest, were most likely removed to insure anonimity. They were likely the crests of both families, which might indicate that the desk set was given as a wedding present.
