KILADA NEW YORK Automatic original watch prototype accompanied by original painting Notes Antiquorum has the honor and the privilege in this, its 30th anniversary year, to devote the following 20 lots to the creations of Jorg Hysek, designer, conceptual artist, "artiste horloger", and painter, who also made his artistic debut 30 years ago. Hysek is responsible for some of the most successful wristwatch designs over the past 30 years and has worked with many of the most prestigious horological companies. Jorg Hysek, who pursued studies in the fine arts, sculpture, and painting in his native Germany, turned his passion for art into a career dedicated to the revolutionary design of timepieces. This has allowed him to link sculpture and the tactile sense. Hysek’s paintings are a source of inspiration for his timepiece creations. Symbols and sublimations of his love of art and horology, these 20 paintings demonstrate the creative evolution of Jorg Hysek. Each painting is an original work which accompanied the creation of a Hysek wristwatch. The general effect of the works reflect the artist’s imaginary universe. The timepiece and the original painting are symbolically joined to rein- force the emotion drawn from the work. Each original watch prototype is accompanied by its original painting. A further 25 silkscreen print reproductions of each pain- ting, each accompanied by a limited edition watch, will be available in Hysek boutiques for those who are not lucky enough to
