Two-body, by master casemaker Joseph Quentin,"Louis XV", back finely painted on enamel, depicting aflower vase, bezels with enamel vignettes painted with flowers,diamond-set thumb piece. Notes A good repeater, based on Julien Le Roy's inventions, including an adjustable potence for the escape wheel, a steel end-piece for the balance pivots to retain oil, dumb repeating and the so-called "bate levée", an arrangement which improved the housing for the repeating works.
