The lyre L. (ouis) Duchene & Fils, Geneva, No.62267, circa 1810. Fine and rare 18K gold enamel and pearl set lyre form watch with concealed dial. "Fermée" type, the spring-loaded cover opening to reveal the dial, decorated with musical trophies on a powder blue ground, the back with flowers on a green enamel ground, the enameled uprights with graduated pearls terminating to an enamel suspension. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic quarters. Blued steel Breguet hands. 20 mm., hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate. Dial and movement signed.Dim. 37 mm x 68 mm.
