Girard-Perregaux, "ww. tc - World Time Chronograph", Ref. 4980. Manufactured circa 2000. Very fine, oversized, world time, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K white gold wristwatch with square button chronograph, registers, date and an 18K white gold Girard-Perregaux buckle. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, transparent case back with screws, rounded bezel , concave lugs, sapphire crystals. Off-white with applied white gold Arabic numerals and tritium coated applied dot indexes , subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, surrounded by black and white revolving ring with contrasting painted Arabic for the night/day hours, outermost revolving disc bearing the names of 24 cities in the world, aperture for the date between 2 and 3. Tritium coated white gold "feuille" hands, blued steel arrow for the chronograph. The winding-crown at 9 activates the city disc backwards or forwards, the one at 3 is for time-setting and activating the night/day division disc clockwise or counter-clockwise. Cal. 3387, rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" and "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 63 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, 21K gold rotor.Dial, case and movement signed.
