MiddlEtwo-body, repoussé with mythological scene probably depicting the parting of Ulysses and Calypso, rocaille repoussé bezels. Inner: two-body, “bassine”, polished. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer arched minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Blued steel “beetle and poker” hands. 35 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, double-footed Dutch style cock.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 55 mm. Notes The present watch still conserves its original printed Dutch watch paper, advertising C. Rauchbaar, horologist and clockmaker.
