Mugnier Jne, rue Neuve des Petits Champs, Paris, No. 480, circa 1805. Fine 18K gold dumb quarter repeating watch. Double body, Empire with fixed bezel and reeded band, the engine-turned back centred with the champleve enamelled initial "F". Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass, Lepine calibre with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on the case with two massive polished steel hammers, by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial. Diam. 53 mm. Notes Note: This watch is very much in the style of those produced at the same period by Raguet in the workshop of Lepine.
