Blanc l'Aine & Compagnie, Swiss, circa 1800. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, moon phase, slim centre second pearl-set watch with special escapement, in a gilt brass gilt protecting case. Double body Directoire with split-pearl set bezels, the back enamel panel painted with a pastoral scene from the Old Testament. Gilt brass glazed outer case. Hinged sli m gilt brass full plate, the barrel passing through the back plate secured by a bridge, virgule escapement, plain gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator.
