Louis Majorelle (French, 1859-1926), circa 1900. A set of six walnut Art Nouveau side chairs with carved abstract and geometrical patterned crests with arched bases over two curved molded inner stiles over the molded seat rail, the trapezoidal chestnut leather seats trimmed in brass nailheads, all raised on tapered fluted front legs and tapered raking back legs. Approximate height 41", width 18", depth 17.25". Note: Seats have been recently recovered.
