Thiery a Paris, circa 1790. Very rare and fine gilt brass, eight day going, hour and half-hour striking, hour repeating transportable clock with alarm and double digital calendar. Rectangular on four gilt brass feet and with four ball finials and folding handle glazed top, side panels and back door, the gilt bronze front face with arched pediment applied with garlands and branches of foliage, a figure of the sun topped with a ribbon knot, applied on the pediment above the apertures for dates and days of the week. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute ring. Gilt brass pierced and engraved " star" hands. Brass rectangular with turned pillars, going barrels both for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension and locking device for transport. Striking and alarm on a bell, the string train released by a cord for repeating. Dim. 22 x 12,5 x 9 cm., excluding the handle.
