A Baroque style bronze gilt fire screen, the frame in the form of a cartouche with inset mesh screen, the top in the form of a tripartite pediment with gilt gadrooned mushroom finials, the facade decorated with a gilt frame comprising interlacing foliate strapwork with grotesquerie masks, gryphons, and paterae flowers lined with a gadrooned border, the border nearest the mesh screen comprising beaded c-scrolls, resting on gilt foliate scroll feet. Approximate height 28.25", width 31", depth 12.25".
