Six Fancy Woven Splint Baskets, probably made by an eastern woodland Indian tribe, late 19th century, five with fancy woven curlicue designs, one strawberry-form with cover, one with curlicue feet with cover, one round with pink and green painted bands, one cylindrical with cover and faint red, green, and yellow bands, one round with upright handle, and one in the form of a string dispenser, with faint salmon-painted bands, ht. 4 1/4 to 7 1/4 in.
