British Miscellany, Three Volumes: Pufendorf's Whole Duty of Man According to the Law of Nature , third edition, 1705, contemporary calf, spine head chipped, front joint partially split, worming to title repaired with modern tape; Taylor's Elements of the Civil Law , third edition, [1769], contemporary calf, rubbed, leather at joints starting, but boards firmly attached, red, gilt-lettered label; and Lord Teignmouth's Memoirs of the Life, Writings, and Correspondence of Sir William Jones , 1804, with portrait frontispiece, and the engraved prayer bound at the end, contemporary diced russia, spine bumped with losses, leather splitting at joints, boards beginning to loosen. Sir William Jones, founder of the Asiatic Society in Calcutta, studied Sanskrit, and Indian culture.
