Burnat, Gilbert (fl. circa 1649) Ethicae Dissertationes . Leiden: Maire, 1649. First edition, octavo, in a contemporary speckled calfskin binding with the arms of Jacques Auguste de Thou in gilt on front and back boards, leather split at front joint. Confusion could easily arise between the two Scottish Gilberts, Burnet and Burnat. The more famous Burnet was six years old when this book was published. Further confusion may ensue because de Thou, the French book collector, died in 1617.
