Roberts in Warwick Lane, 1715. 12mo, second edition, printed in the same year as the first, complete, contemporary speckled calf with gold tooling and marbled endleaves, binding worn and rubbed. Lilly unfolds the mysteries of the black arts, including inside information on incantations and the raising of spirits. He also describes the trial of Isaac Antrobus, who was charged with baptizing a rooster (by the name of Peter) and committing adultery with a woman and her daughter.
