Miniature George Lindsay Ebonized Alarm Table Clock, London, c. 1785, silvered engraved sheet brass dial inscribed Geo. Lindsay, London in the arch, applied Roman numeral chapter ring and Arabic numeral alarm disc, ebonized oak case with dome top, carrying handle, pierced and engraved sound vents on the rear door and sides, eight-day chain fusee timepiece with verge escapement, 3-in. pendulum, pull-wind alarm train, top-mounted bell with GB casting mark, and fully engraved backplate, ht. 7 1/2 in. with handle fully extended, dial dimensions wd. 2 1/2, ht. 3 3/4 in. Ebonized surface possibly renewed, movement running but wants cleaning, original hands, dial, brass components on case, and all movement components. Regulating nut missing, cracks to dome top.
