Iron Front Shelf Clock, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1855, the pierced iron case with paint and mother-of-pearl eagle surmounting the dial and shield with stars and stripes below dial all supported by two serpents, painted zinc dial with Roman numerals, thirty-hour, spring-powered, lever-escapement movement, ht. 13 1/2 in. Some paint loss to iron front. Some paint loss on dial and numerals rubbed. Movement may need cleaning and lubrication.
