Brass and Steel Wheel Cutting Engine, Switzerland, last half 19th century, the freestanding hand-powered machine on penny feet supporting a brass frame with 6 1/2-in. dividing plate with twenty rows of divisions numbered 31-360, the cutter apparatus on a vertical dovetail slide lowers via operation of spring-loaded handle, ht. 12 in. The turned wood handle on the vertical slides spring-load missing. Depth adjustment screw bent, slit surface rust.
