Kinosuke Ebihara (Japanese, 1904-1970) Corbeaux [Ravens] Signed and dated "Ebihara 28" l. l., titled and inscribed "39....Ebihara" on the strainer. Oil on canvas, 36 x 28 3/4 in. (91.4 x 73.0 cm), framed. Condition: Surface grime, subtle rippling. Tear to l.r. quadrant measuring approx. 1/2 x 1 1/2 in. to l.r. quadrant, abrasion to the l.r. quadrant measuring approx. 1 1/2 in. length; canvas deformations, subtle varnish inconsistencies, would benefit from a cleaning. The work was acquired by the present owner approximately 20 years ago from a private Arizona collection.
