Pair of Jacob Petit-style Hand-painted Porcelain Candlesticks, France, 19th century, each gilt and polychrome enamel decorated with scalloped gilt rim over graduated steps alternating mint green and aubergine above a stem formed as a male figure in white robe decorated with flowers, on circular pedestal base with vining flowers on brown ground with scalloped edges, ht. 12 3/4 in. Each with scattered loss and wear to gilt and enamel and leaning to one side, one with small areas of repaint, chip to man's foot, and repairs to base, the other with chip to base.
